The concept of the territory near the lake on the street Khandadasha Tagiyeva was developed by a consortium of four design organizations, under the leadership of our company. In addition to Magly Proekt, it included: Habidatum Lab, ARCHICOMM and Shapkin Studio. The concept took part in the "All-Russian competition for the development of concepts for the architectural appearance of public spaces and educational institutions in the Republic of Dagestan" and took 3rd place in it.

We consider the main task of our work on the area around the lake on Khandadash Tagiyev Street in Derbent to be the organic interweaving of a natural object into the existing fabric of urban communications. By "organic", we mean an approach that will not only connect individual urban areas with new pedestrian connections and functions, but also preserve the natural and historical uniqueness of the place.

The main principle of our project is to preserve and increase. The main dominant of the place is the lake and the natural landscape: we create a route that crosses the expanse of water and encircles the lake along the banks. Walking paths and recreation areas appear in chamber spaces in the thick of greenery, under the shade of tree crowns and along the perimeter of the territory. Particular attention is paid to the playground for three age groups, which is made in natural style. The location and small size of the territory suggests family vacations, walks by the water, unity with nature and contemplation. Comfortable benches, deck chairs, swings and awnings are located along the coastal zone. Small architectural forms are united by a design code that emphasizes the silhouette of existing houses above the water, rocky cliffs and the Caucasus Mountains.
