The Palace of Pioneers on Sparrow Hills was first opened to the public in 1962. Since then and until now, the complex has retained its original function and is still one of the largest institutions of additional children's education in Moscow. Over 25,000 children aged 6 to 18 years old study annually in laboratories, studios, music, art and technical workshops, sports schools and sections, classes with an engineering, natural science, social and humanitarian orientation.

Developing the concept of landscaping the territory, we treated with great respect the heritage of Soviet modernism, a striking representative of which is the architectural ensemble of the Palace of Pioneers. Currently, the entire complex of buildings and the surrounding area is a cultural heritage site. We proposed to preserve and repair the historical elements of the complex where necessary. In the first place, road surfaces, lining of retaining walls, and sports facilities needed to be repaired. Many small architectural forms were also worn out and had to be replaced.

To do this, we have developed an individual line of small architectural forms, in accordance with the architectural style of the complex and the color scheme. In addition, we offered the installation of several temporary art objects and installations. For example, on the square of parades, a concrete bowl has been preserved, in which a large pioneer fire was kindled. We have placed in this bowl an installation in the form of flames, made of corten and stainless steel, as a reminder of this tradition.

Another temporary installation was placed on the steps of the amphitheater near the Parade Square. Her goal is to create a flexible space that can be an outdoor lecture hall, exhibition space, or simply a relaxation area.

The embankment of the pond was also in need of repair. Here we proposed the replacement of coatings and facing materials, as well as the construction of an amphitheater with a descent to the water and places for recreation. An installation with a fountain was placed on a small artificial island, and a new design of a pavilion made of lightweight structures for a yachting club with a boathouse was developed.

Not far from the border of the territory along Anuchin Street, we proposed to place a new playground with an individual design and equipment of a scientific and educational theme. And on the nearby slope - a platform with slides.

We also developed the concept of territory lighting, supplementing it with architectural illumination of the architectural and natural dominants of the territory.
